Hi, I’m Ida Holem! Growing up as a pastor’s daughter gave me a front row seat to the struggles and triumphs that come from serving God and a congregation. Once I moved out of my parents’ home my eyes were really opened to the need to deepen my own faith. As a therapist, I have had the unique experience of being able to help those in ministry from a Christian perspective as they work to help others. I truly believe that God has ordained my steps throughout my careers and lead me to this very spot so that I could step in to serve those that serve others.
My Biography
I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training from Troy State University and a Master of Education degree in exercise science from Auburn University. I also have a Master of Science degree in mental health counseling from the University of North Florida. I am a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Florida (MH16568). I maintain a professional membership in the American Counselor Association (ACA), and have completed numerous trainings in the Gottman approach, and Sue Johnson’s Emotionally Focused Therapy, two of the leading research-based methods to help couples improve their relationships. In addition, I am a Board Certified TeleMental Health Provider (BC-TMH 1555) and able to provide both phone and video-based sessions to my clients.
I am happily married and enjoying being a new mommy. In my personal time I love sewing and crafting, reading and spending time with my family. And yes, I do still attend and serve in my father’s church!
